What Is Self-Determination?
California’s Self-Determination Program gives individuals with developmental disabilities the power to choose how their services and supports are designed — so they can live life on their terms. Self-Determination lets you control your budget, hire your own support team, and create a personalized plan for the life you want.
But getting started — and making it work — can be confusing. That’s where an Independent Facilitator comes in.
